Visit the Randers City Archive and find historical documents from the city. Explore the past and get a unique insight into Randers' development over time.
At the city archive citizens as well as authorities can get advice and guidance on the use of the city's archives.
The Randers City Archive is the citizens' historical archive. The archive stores material from individuals, associations, organizations and companies. The city archive receives both papers, images and electronic documents. The purpose is to ensure that in the future the city's history can be written on a varied and comprehensive basis, and also to ensure that everyone can have a place in history.
Randers City Archive is also the municipality's archive. The city archive collects documentation about the work of the municipality and its institutions.
The purpose is to ensure the citizens' democratic right to see material that the law says must be stored.
The Randers City Archive works actively within the cultural heritage work in Randers in collaboration with local archives, museums, knowledge institutions, public education and the municipal administration, including the local cultural environment council.
